The Journal of Research in Management and Social Science is a biannual journal of College of Management Science, Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike Nigeria. The Journal focus cuts across issues of management and other related areas. It examines how those issues affect operation of businesses and society in both advanced and emerging economies.

Given our agribusiness environment, the journal also examines important business issues in the agri-food ecosystem and how the issues can affect operations of firms in the industry and emerging economies. We believe that there are lessons to be learnt from our environment, therefore, this journal parade itself as a hub of policy that advance society.

Further to the above, the journal seeks for articles that address the following issues:
How management and business converge for advancement of society

  • How markets and business environment operates and impact on development
  • Theoretical and practical examination of the role of management and its related areas on emerging economies
  • Sustainable Development Goals and management implications
  • The origins, growth, and development of management (and its allied areas) history as an activity
  • Food and agribusiness management, and how they can impact society, households and country
  • Emerging issues in society, business and Country
  • Globalization, internationalization, trends and analysis.

Though primarily a management science journal, JORMASS also encompasses a wide range of social science including agribusiness, sociology, and history.

Aims and Scope
JORMASS is primarily a management and social science journal that focuses on important business and societal issues that impacts on operations of business and how such issues affects society. Therefore, this journal covers management areas such as marketing, finance, accounting, human resource management, entrepreneurship, public policy among other areas of interest to society and business.
